Dear Husband,
Since you have been gone the past 3 weeks and are going to be gone the next 3 weeks, essentially missing Mother’s Day altogether, I have a couple not so subtle hints as to what I would like for Mother’s Day. Since my previous post about Mother’s Day gifts didn’t pan out and most wouldn’t be possible anyway, I thought it would be easier if I were a little blunter as to what I would like for Mother’s Day.
One option that I would really enjoy, and that I deserve, especially since I’ve been on my own with two wild, young kids for 3 weeks and have another 3 weeks to go is jewelry. After all, diamonds are a girl’s best friend, right?
But seriously now, something like the images below from Kay’s is great because they can be personalized with the kid’s names and I can wear it close to my heart, always keeping them close to me.
And they currently have a promotion running for 30% off personalized jewelry with code PJ30, so it’s a win-win! I get something nice and you get to save some money.
Another option is something like the following from Carolyn Pollack Jewelry but I would like the stones to reflect the kids birth stones, and I like the angel ring for our baby that just didn’t make earth-side.
They also have a 10% off plus free shipping with code MOTHER10 deal that lasts until May 13th.
Another option that you’re not fond of, but since you won’t be here you won’t have much of an option is flowers. I know they’re crazy pricey during Mother’s Day, but don’t I deserve for you to splurge on me just a bit?
With FTD you can
save 20% sitewide on flowers and gifts as well as with
Teleflora with Code AFLS1849 (Offer Valid Through 4/30/2018).
Finally, and this is something I could really use, is a nice vacation. I would love a childless vacation, but one that offers babysitting services would be just as good. Expedia has a few deals that you can look into. One is for $50 off $500 on 3+ nights hotel with code 50OFFHOTEL. Now I know that’s pretty pricey, so here are a few more. You can also save $50 off select hotels with coupon or you can save up to 40% off hotels.
One option that I know has babysitting is a cruise. Through Expedia,
Royal Caribbean has a 30% off every Guest, plus up to $1300 to spend onboard deal or Norwegian has
a book a balcony and get up to $500 to spend onboard deal. OneTravel also has
Mother’s Day flight deals where you can save up to $9 with promo code MOTHER9.
And the last travel option is that you can book a vacation with
Beaches that offers MOMventures, where kid’s have fun while mom lays in the sun with up to 65% off. And best of all, it’s an all inclusive!
So there you have it! An entire page full of ideas for a nice Mother’s Day gift for me. Everything from flowers, to jewelry and/or a nice, relaxing vacation.
I love you and I will think of you just as generously come Father’s Day.
You’re loving Wife,
Lissette
